An employee KPI report maker is a tool to evaluate employee performance objectively using structured rubrics. It allows managers to enter evaluation parameters, assign weights to different competencies, rate them out of a maximum score, and automatically calculate a weighted percentage score.
In a weighted rubric, each performance category is assigned a weight (importance multiplier). The weighted score is calculated as (Category Score × Weight) for each item, and the final percentage is (Sum of Weighted Scores ÷ Sum of Maximum Weighted Scores) × 100. This ensures critical outcomes (like Sales Targets) impact the appraisal more than minor administrative tasks.
Standard organizational performance tiers are: Excellent (80% and above) representing outstanding output, Good (60% to 79%) representing meeting expectations, Average (40% to 59%) representing satisfactory output, and Needs Work (below 40%) representing performance requiring improvement plans (PIPs).
