Online leave management software for Indian SMBs. Mobile leave application, multi-level approvals, auto-deduct unpaid leaves from payroll, leave balance tracker and holiday calendar. PL, CL, SL and custom leave types.
Employees apply for Casual Leave, Sick Leave, Earned Leave, Maternity/Paternity, Compensatory Off, or custom leave types directly from the Avani app. Applications include date range, leave type, reason, and optional attachment (e.g., medical certificate) — submitted in under 30 seconds.
Configure single-level (direct manager) or multi-level (manager → HR → department head) approval chains. Approvers get push notifications and can approve or reject with a comment from any device. Escalation reminders fire automatically if no action is taken within the configured SLA (e.g., 24 hours).
Every employee sees their real-time leave balance — how many CL, PL, SL are remaining, how many are lapsing at year end, and the carry-forward policy. HR sees the same data in aggregate for the entire company, making manpower planning during peak periods far easier.
When an employee exhausts their paid leave balance and applies for additional leave, the system classifies the excess days as Loss of Pay (LOP). LOP days are automatically deducted from the gross salary during payroll processing — no manual calculations, no disputes.
Set up your company's public holiday calendar — national holidays (Republic Day, Independence Day, Diwali, Eid) plus regional holidays specific to your state (Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi NCR). Optional restricted holidays with quotas can also be configured.
Track leave patterns — absenteeism spikes, departments with highest LOP, peak leave months, and employees approaching excessive absence. Export leave reports for HR audits, POSH committee records, and manpower forecasting.
Leave management software automates the entire lifecycle of employee leave — application, approval, balance tracking, and payroll deduction — in one place. For Indian companies it also ensures compliance with the Factories Act (15 days EL), Maternity Benefit Act (26 weeks), and state-specific Shops & Establishments rules, while eliminating the Excel-based leave registers that are prone to errors and disputes.
Avani supports Casual Leave (CL), Privilege/Earned Leave (PL/EL), Sick Leave (SL), Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Compensatory Off, Bereavement Leave, Marriage Leave, and any custom leave type you define. Each type has its own quota, carry-forward, and encashment policy.
Any leave taken after the paid balance is exhausted is automatically classified as Loss of Pay (LOP). During monthly payroll processing, LOP days are deducted from gross salary using the formula (Gross Salary / Total Working Days) × LOP Days, and the deduction appears as a line item on the salary slip.
Yes. You can set up approval chains with up to four levels — e.g., Team Lead → HR Manager → Department Head → Director. Each level gets a notification, and you can configure SLA timers so that the request escalates automatically if not acted upon within, say, 12 or 24 hours.
Fully. Approved leave data — present days, LOP days, Comp-Off adjustments, and leave encashment amounts — is passed directly to the payroll engine. There is no manual reconciliation between the leave register and salary calculation sheet. This eliminates one of the most common sources of payroll errors in Indian companies.
Admins upload or select a holiday list for the financial year. Avani includes pre-built calendars for national holidays and major state holidays (Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, etc.). Optional restricted holidays (RH) with per-employee quotas can also be added.
Yes. The Avani employee app shows each employee their current balance for every leave type, how many days they have used this year, pending applications, and upcoming holidays — all in real time. Employees no longer need to email HR to find out their leave balance.
When an employee works on a holiday or weekend, the manager can grant a Comp-Off day. The comp-off credit appears in the employee's leave balance with an expiry date (configurable — usually 30 or 60 days). The employee can then apply for it like any other leave. If unused, it lapses automatically on the expiry date.
